THE COST OF REPLACING ONE STAFF MEMBER IS ESTIMATED AS THE COST OF THAT STAFF MEMBER'S SALARY FOR AN ENTIRE YEAR - WELCOM STUDY
Stress in the workplace poses a risk to most businesses and compensation payments for stress are increasing. Employers need to combat stress by dealing with excessive and long-term causes of stress, as well as offering intelligent solutions to their staff to help them to deal with the challenges they face day to day. It's well recognised that excessive work pressure is one of the leading causes of stress in the UK. People become stressed when they don't have sufficient resources and are struggling to cope with demands.
Physical and mental illness can develop if a person is under stress for an extended period of time. Stress can manifest into anxiety or depression, and physically in the form of heart disease, pain and bad habits (poor eating and alcohol dependency). Infinido works with organisations to manage stress in the workplace on both an organisational and a personal level.
On an organisational level, Infinido will work with you to create a structured stress management programme that works around your culture, values and employees. Through research of your organisation and the latest academic findings, we are able to transform your workplace into a thriving working arena that promotes wellbeing and productivity. MINDFULNESS IN THE WORKPLACE
“Paying attention in a particular way: on purpose, in the present moment, and nonjudgmentally” – Jon Kabot‐Zinn
While there are many ways to learn mindfulness, we recommend the 7-week course as a great way to start the mindfulness journey. It is a widely researched and evidence-based approach. This 7-week course is also an opportunity to start a regular practice over a set number of weeks. It takes time and repetition to form new habits and patterns of thinking. Your staff will also be under the guidance of one of our experienced mindfulness teachers and will find learn new ways to think about setting intentions and staying focused on the task at hand. This course will provide your staff with a good source of insight, support and skills to help them build resilience.
People who are more skillful at working with their minds and mental states perform better. That benefits their colleagues, teams, clients, customers and all other stakeholders.
There have been thousands of studies conducted on various aspects of mindfulness, and on that basis, we can say that mindfulness training:
- Enhances focus and attention
- Increases self-awareness and the awareness of others
- Raises resilience and emotional intelligence
- Strengthens cognitive effectiveness
- Allows you to listen more attentively
- Allows you to communicate more clearly
- Helps you to direct your thoughts more appropriately
- Boosts productivity
